Ravana got surrounded with apprehension when he heard about Hanumana’s doings. He sent his other son, Meghnand to conquer Hanumana. Meghnada was a very valiant and skillful warrior. Even gods feared to face him in a battle.
Meghnada was also called Indrajita as he had won the king of gods, Indra. He went to Ashoka Vatika and twanged his mighty bow. Hunumana also threatened Meghnada by increasing his stature as large as a mountain. The two valiant warriors met in a fight. Both of them were equal in strength and skill.
When all of Meghnada’s weapons failed, he used his Brahmastra. Hanumana got himself bound by the astra as he didn’t want to defame the greatest weapon Brahmastra.
