SITA’S ORNAMENTS

After some time, Sugreeva sent a monkey to fetch a bundle. The monkey quickly brought the bundle and gave it to Sugreeva. Placing the bundle in Rama’s hand, Sugreeva said, “My friend, some days ago, I was standing at the mountaintop with some of my warriors. I saw a flying chariot carrying a demon and women in it.

The women were continuously crying for help. It seemed that the demon was forcefully carrying her away. When she saw us, she threw down some of her ornaments. I collected and packed them in a bundle. See if these ornaments belong to mother Sita.”
When Rama opened the bundle, his eyes were filled with love and tears as he saw his beloved’s ornaments. Lakshmama at once exclaimed, “I do not know about the other ornaments, but these anklets are surely mother sita’s for I have never seen anything but mother Sita’s feet which I used to touch every morning.”

Then Sugreeva told Rama that the flying chariot fiew away towards the south direction, so it might be possible that Ravana had carried away mother Sita somewhere in the south.
